Average Cost Calculation in Navision

Average costing in Navision can caters for the following situation:
  1. Invoice the sale of an item before purchase has been invoiced.
  2. Backdate posting
  3. Recover incorrect posting.
Average cost in Navision is calculated as the SUM (Cost Amount (Actual)) / SUM (Invoiced Quantity) for value entries witha valuation data that is equal or earlier that inventory decrease.
